Tips to Clean Your Bathroom

One of the most dirty and unhygienic spots in your house which is often most busy as well is the bathroom. Everyone enjoys utilizing a clean and tidy bathroom, especially guests. It is often said that people tend to judge others by the way they keep their bathrooms. Using these clean top bathroom cleaning tips will help make your bathroom really clean. A messy and smelly bathroom with wet floors and towels is a messy way to keep a house. It is often a good place to begin while trying to get an entire house clean. Bathrooms deserve special cleaning attention. From the sink to the counter tops to the floors and even the bathing area should be washed clean thoroughly.

Here are a few useful tips to keep your bathrooms clean and germ-free on a regular basis:

Top Bathroom Cleaning Tips

Organized cleaning supplies

Make sure all your cleaning supplies are in one place. It helps if cleaning supplies are available in a good quantity. So when you are busy cleaning you do not have to break the flow and fetch missing or empty supplies.

Garbage Bag

The first step would be to pick up a plastic bag or a big garbage bag and start emptying your bathroom of empty shampoo or soap bottles. For some unknown reason people just love to store empty bottles of body wash or shampoo and sometimes even soap on bathroom counters. Not only this but, some really lazy people would leave empty toothpastes lying around for days or even weeks! It is important to get rid of the extra unnecessary load from the bathroom before you begin cleaning it.

De-clutter

Once you’re done clearing up the garbage, the next step would be to de-clutter the counters and bathtub tops. Even the bathroom hangers from any unnecessary item or belonging that does not actually belong in the bathroom. Maybe there is a heap of clothes that need to be thrown in the wash piled up in the bathroom. Get rid of it. De-clutter! This will help you organize things better and quicker.

Wipe the counters

Cleaning the vanity

Now that you’ve unloaded the bathroom and you can see things clearly, you need to start wiping the counters off any toothpaste stains or any other stains for that matter. Clean the counters thoroughly and while you are at it make sure you empty and clean the toothbrush holders, soap holders etc. as well.

Scrub and mop

Lastly, you need to throw in some nice smelling tile cleaner in a bucket load of water and use a sponge to soak it in this mixture to scrub the bathroom away. Scrub the bathtub, the shower area, the toilet and the sinks. Scrub the towel hanger as well. Make sure if you have a shower curtain you throw that in the wash as well. Mop the floor with the same mixture of cleaning supplies. Get a glass cleaner and use it to clean the mirrors around the bathroom too.

Keep a toilet air freshener

This is by far the most important and the most ignored step in the entire cleaning process. You would want your bathroom to be smelling good because of all the nasty stuff that the poor room stores all day. It is important that you leave an air freshener inside the bathroom so that hopefully people who use it get the idea and spray some once they are done using it.
